Yesterday, Suma Wholefoods of Halifax delivered into Manchester a pallet of foods for Manchester Foodbanks as part of HOPE for Christmas.
Speaking of the HOPE for Christmas project Paul Heaton said:
"There are people in this country, be they on benefits or be they on low incomes, that simply cannot meet the rising cost of living. It falls to those of us that share common and moral values to stand up for those people and to stand in solidarity with those people who everyday go out of their way to make a difference. I believe in the concept of solidarity, not charity. Those of us who care and want change will come together in solidarity and in defence of our values and community."
